State Standards searching in netTrekker has been enhanced allowing you to better search for elementary and secondary state standards. There are several ways of searching for your state standards in netTrekker.

  • Keyword Search on netTrekker Home Page
    Type a keyword in the Keyword box on the Elementary or Secondary home page in netTrekker.

    State Standards Button:

    When your list of search results appears, you can click on the State Standards button just above your list of search results. This will automatically direct you to your state standards related to your original keyword.

    From your state standards results, you can select either the Elementary or Secondary tab. When you click on either tab, you can choose any standard or benchmark to find a list of additional keywords that support that standard. Click on any of the keywords to go to a list of search results.

  • Keyword Search in netTrekker State Standards Section
    Top Navigation:
    Click on the green and white State Standards button at the top of your netTrekker page. You can enter a keyword in the Keyword box in the State Standards section. A list of results will appear and you can select either the Elementary or Secondary tab. When you click on either tab, you can choose any standard or benchmark to find a list of additional keywords to support that topic. Click on any of the keywords to go to a list of search results.

  • Drill Down through Subject Areas in netTrekker State Standards Section
    Click on the green and white State Standards button at the top of your netTrekker page. Click on the section of standards in which you would like to search. You can drill down through the subjects and grade levels to find the appropriate standard or benchmark.

    If you know the exact number of the benchmark or standard you are trying to locate resources for, you may enter the actual benchmark as a keyword at the top of the page in the State Standards section of netTrekker. This method will also provide the taxonomy link for that benchmark and will allow you to access the list of keywords associated with that benchmark.

      Example: If I am a teacher in Florida and I enter MA.E.3.4.1*in the keyword box, I would get the following benchmark: "Benchmark MA.E.3.4.1. The student: designs and performs real-world statistical experiments that involve more than one variable, then analyzes results and reports findings."
