This newsletter contains important updates about netTrekker. We value our relationship with you as a subscriber and want to be sure that you are current with ongoing announcements and helpful tips so you can better utilize netTrekker.

We encourage you to share this information with other netTrekker users in your school and district.

Our hearts go out to the communities of MS, AL, and LA that have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. To support the many educators and students in these states who have been impacted by the storm, we'd like to extend extra subscription time to our netTrekker customers in these areas for their lost instructional time.

To take advantage of this offer, simply contact us at
877-517-1125 (toll free) once your school or district is up and running again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

In Cobb County, Georgia, two current issues include differentiated instruction and developing a Lexile reading level metric. Director of Instructional Technology Linda Morrell says,

“netTrekker d.i. helps us sort sites by Lexile level to address student needs. And the ELL teachers find the dictionary hot key translations are very helpful too.”

Welcome back to school! We hope you had an enjoyable summer. This is a great time to encourage your school community to create individual user accounts through netTrekker’s online registration process. Districts that have encouraged individual registration for staff and students have higher proven usage results.

The registration process to create an individual username and password is simple and takes just a few minutes to complete. Students, teachers and parents may create their accounts from a school or home computer.

The benefits of having an individual account:

  • You have the ability to save and store your personal searches in your Saved Searches folder. You may then access your Saved Searches from a school or home computer whenever you login to netTrekker.
  • You may review and track your individual search history.
