Cost-Free, Collaborative Staff Development

Amy Ellisor
Technology Integration Consultant

Technology Specialists, do you need an electronic resource to support staff development for all instructional levels and curricular areas? Spark the winter doldrums with a netTrekker d.i. development/planning day. No need to pay a keynote speaker whose message might really impact only math teachers or those who teach special education. No need to secure a large facility with limited parking, limited restrooms, and no snacks.

Best Practice for ELL Students

For 6th-8th grade English Language Learners, Librarian Jim Riley gave each student an index card with the name of a famous person written on it. The students used the Famous Person search to locate websites for a biographical report. "The Read Aloud and Dictionary Hot Key functions provided wonderful support for the students who have not yet mastered the English language yet need to complete the same assignments as English speaking students."

Our Customers
"Last year I purchased netTrekker d.i. for my school because I needed something that would offer students more reliable information than what they would find through random free web searches. netTrekker d.i. has provided us with excellent sources of quality information. One of the best features of using netTrekker d.i. is the Contact Us option. On more than one occasion I have questioned the inclusion of a site and netTrekker d.i.’s response was immediate and satisfactory."
